Although it pisses me off that I’m missing the hilarious cats over at ROFLCON, springtime in Minnepapolis is never to be missed. The way it smells reminds me of some kind of decaying 60s psychedelia, which is why you’re gonna listen to it today too!

A lot of people don’t know this, but Brooklyn has a fantastic world music scene. It’s located in a secret restaurant somewhere between Brooklyn’s Children’s Museum and Brooklyn’s Jewish Children’s Museum, and, no, it is not a puppet lending library. It’s just a good place to go when you realize you don’t really like indie rock or 90’s rap music that much.

Lucas Marti - Dolor + Miedo
DJ Tomekk - Ganxtaville pt. 2

Those of us with a proclivity for walking around in our birthday suits should soak in this 57-second wonder of hippie folk-psych. Yeah, Cat Power covered it and all, but that’s just a little too twee, even for this tweentry mix.

The first fifteen seconds of Omaha have these incredible, way before their time distortion effects. Otherwise, a catchy little dittie. Enjoyz!

PS: A very special 7th birthday to our favorite leap year Soca impresario, Randy Cohen, Ethicist.
